The Show!

THDCI produces one end-of-the-year show each year.  Equal to no other dance recital, our show is a professional theater experience that students will never forget.  THDCI’s Annual Show takes place over a weekend in early-mid June at McFarlin Auditorim on the Southern Methodist University’s (SMU) campus.

Our students work all year long perfecting their technique and style, and this is their opportunity to show off for their friends and families.  It is also a chance for the students to see what dancers at other levels have been working on in their classes.  Many of the younger children often get to see their teachers and assistant teachers do what they do best…DANCE!

We, at THDCI, think of our Annual Show as a huge celebration and we look forward to it every year.  We’re sure you will too!

10 Year Dancers

Every year during the Annual Show, THDCI dancers who have been with us 10 years or longer are given the additional opportunity to perform a special dance choreographed just for them. There is no cost to the eligible students for this incredible and challenging experience.  This tradition has become a “rite of passage” for many of our dancers, as well as their families who have supported them, and watched them grow as performers and as people.
