Jade Deal is a graduate from The University of Central Oklahoma with a BFA in dance performance. While attending UCO, Jade was a dance major on partial scholarship as well as a member of the Kaleidoscope Dance Company. Prior to transferring to UCO, she studied under Tiffanee Arnold at Collin College as a dance major and member of the Collin Dance Ensemble. Jade was the recipient of the Lebrecht Endowed Chair Scholarship for Scholarly and Civic Engagement. At UCO and Collin College Jade was selected to participate in the American College Dance Festival at both the Regional and National levels. Academically, Jade was on the Dean’s Honor Roll, Vice President’s Honor Roll and received scholarships for her academic achievements.
Prior to college Jade studied and performed with the Dallas Fort Worth Ballet, and summered at the Houston Ballet, Washington Ballet, and American Academy of Ballet. She had the opportunity to study under Violette Verdy, David Howard, Merle Sepel, Brian Loftus and many others. Her early training was with Chamberlain Ballet. In addition to teaching, Jade is also interested in pursuing a career in dance costume design.
