Jennifer Marcum started dancing at Top Hat at age 3, and was a charter member of Gotta Dance! She has been seen on stage in numerous productions including the Broadway company of Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl), the national tours of Annie Get Your Gun and State Fair (Vivian), and regionally in Hair (Crissy), A Grand Night for Singing, Grease (Frenchy), and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Vibrata). Jennifer made her New York stage debut singing Gerswhin reclined on top of a piano on the great stage of Radio CIty Music Hall. She performed alongside some of Broadway’s finest, such as Julie Andrews, Elaine Stritch, Rebecca Luker, and Marin Mazzie at Carnegie Hall in My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies. Jennifer has shared the stage with a host of other celebrities including Dolly Parton, Nick Jonas, Phyllis Diller, Dom DeLuise, Donny and Marie Osmond, The Osmond Brothers, Marilu Henner, Rex Smith, Tom Wopat, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Andrea McArdle, and Toni Braxton. 

It was in Highland Village, Texas as a young girl that Jennifer fell in love with all things theatrical. She became very serious about her art and began studying voice privately and dancing any chance she could. She attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, commuting to downtown Dallas, where she studied music and dance. 

Not only a triple threat, Jennifer is a songwriter, a member of ASCAP, and Nashville Songwriters Association International, as well. She recorded her music at the famed Muscle Shoals Sound recording studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with producers Drew Lachey, Grammy award winner Gary Baker, and Walt Aldridge. Jennifer’s voice can also be heard on “Broadway’s Carols for a Cure” with Nick Jonas. 

Jennifer holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance from John Brown University, where she performed lead roles in opera productions such as Menotti’s The Medium as Monica, Gilbert & Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance as Mabel, Gilbert & Sullivan’s Patience as Patience, and played the role of Sister Genevieve in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. Since 1999, she has been teaching master classes inspiring young actors, singers and dancers from across the country. Jennifer is currently a faculty member of Lachey Arts Performance Camp in Cincinnati, OH where she collaborates with many Broadway and performing veterans including her husband, Brian J. Marcum. 

Jennifer Marcum is a longtime member of Actor’s Equity Association, has been an Equity Deputy, and a passionate fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. She has also earned her 200 RYT Yoga certification with world renowned yoga instructor Tiffany Cruikshank.
