Rachel began her dance training at age four. At the age of eleven, she began to focus on classical ballet. She attended various summer workshops including Pennsylvania Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet in San Antonio, Ballet Austin, and Atlanta Ballet. At sixteen, she moved to Houston to train with City Ballet of Houston, a pre-professional ballet company. At CBH Rachel had the opportunity to perform both classical and contemporary ballet pieces and work with influential choreographers including Luis Fuentes, Alan Hineline, Sandra Organ, and Bruce Wells.
Rachel graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in English Literature from The University of North Texas. While at UNT, she continued her ballet training with Janice LaPointe-Crump and Arlene Sugano. She performed in Faculty Concerts, Senior Choreography Concerts, and various venues in the North Texas area. Currently, Rachel has completed the Post-Bac elementary education program at UNT and teaches at a local preschool. Rachel enjoys teaching at Top Hat Dance Center and sharing her love of ballet with our dancers.
Rachel, and her husband, welcomed their son Elijah to the world in April 2015!
