Summer
THDCI’s Summer Session
Why take summer lessons at Top Hat?
- Upgrade your technical skills for possibly higher class placement.
- Explore new styles of choreography.
- Stay strong, fit, and flexible.
- Any experienced dancers who wish to be considered for the following year’s dance companies MUST be in summer dance.
- For the Dancer who is currently at the top of his or her class level, summer training can potentially give the dancer the needed skills to move into a higher level class during the fall session.
- For the Dancer who is transferring from another studio, summer training gives him or her the comfort of meeting teachers and students, an introduction to the THDCI program, and an excellent opportunity for Directors and instructors to evaluate for correct class placement in the fall season.
During the summer, THDCI is able to schedule a variety of classes that will benefit your dancer for the following season. Our friendly staff is more than happy to help discuss the best placement for your child of any age.
Classes are usually smaller and the dancers who train in the summer are more enthusiastic and better prepared for the fall session. Children generally have no homework and fewer scheduled activities in the summer – what a perfect time to keep physically active and make real technical progress in dance!
OUR INSTRUCTORS SEE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE DANCERS WHO TRAIN DURING THE SUMMER! YOU WILL TOO!
