Clare Mulvanny Foster

Clare was born in England and started dance at the age of three. Her family moved to New York when she was five, where she continued her training in ballet, pointe, tap, and jazz. While in New York, Clare appeared in performances at various malls, Danish Festivals, hospitals, her high school’s performance of “Carousel,” and a welcome home party for veterans of Desert Storm. She has trained in voice and choir and appeared dancing in “West Side Story” and “Peter Pan.”.

Clare came to THDCI in 1993 and performed as a senior dancer.   She has also trained vocally, as well as in acting for the theater, speaks several languages fluently, and has traveled extensively to learn about art and culture.  She graduated with honors from Marcus HS in Flower Mound, and graduated Cum Laude from University of North Texas (UNT) with a business and marketing degree.

She began teaching for THDCI in 1997.  She has worked with many of our dance companies to prepare them for competition and performances.  Her classroom dancers continue to be very well prepared not only in technical knowledge, but in show choreography as well.

Clare and her husband Ruben, have a two-year-old son, Shamus.
