Jennifer Chambers Litaker

Jennifer has been training to teach ballet since her own beginnings in dance over 23 years ago. She credits most of her training to her years with Tyler Civic Ballet in Tyler, Texas under the direction of Helen Chambers and Paula Sansom. While in the company she was privileged to perform many of the classical ballets. Jennifer’s favorite roles include Clara and Arabian soloist in The Nutcracker, Friend and Dawn solo in Coppellia, as well as the Songbird Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. She also frequented summer intensives with companies such as Ballet Magnificat, Dallas Ballet Centre and the International Ballet School. Jennifer has been trained by ballet influences including David Howard, Patricia Tomlinson, Anne Burton Avery, and Richard Hubsure.

Jennifer then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from The University of North Texas in 2004. While earning her degree she helped revive and then act as President for two years of the National Dance Honors Fraternity, Chi Tau Epsilon. Jennifer also received the Dance Honor Student of the Year award in 2004 and performed in various works by faculty such as Arleen Sugano and Osiris Wade. Her choreography was also chosen by the faculty to be presented at the American College Dance Festival in 2004.

Jennifer and her husband Rob have lived in Lewisville since 2005, and welcomed their first baby, Zachary in May of 2008.  They are expecting their second child in April 2011.  We hear she is having a daughter!
